A Little About Me

My name is Jan Fisher.  I own Mountain Thistle Quilts located in Western Montana and nestled at the base of the Bitterroot Mountains. 

I first discovered my passion for all things fabric as a young girl when I learned to stitch at an old farm table on the back porch of our farmhouse.  This passion grew into a lifelong hobby of sewing, knitting and crocheting, as well as other crafts.  Then, one day, I walked into a small town mercantile that specialized in quilting fabrics and other unusual items and I knew I had discovered my niche. 

It’s been a journey realizing my dream of opening a country mercantile.  Come explore my shop, and join us as we grow our family of quilters.
